CINCINNATI (WXIX) — Duke Energy is offering tips to customers on how to keep cooling costs under control during the hottest summer months.
The utility company says air conditioning becomes one of the biggest drivers of higher electric bills when heat indexes approach 100 degrees.
“This week, since we’ve seen temperatures pushing close to what feels like 100 degrees outside, that really means it’s going to be working harder,” said Matt Martin of Duke Energy. “So, it does become a major driver in terms of energy usage for customers during this time of the year.”…
