Road Warriors: Hoosiers hotfeet flock to Fairgrounds

Every race weekend four young Indiana drivers load up their cars and head to Nashville’s Fairgrounds Speedway, a long drive to run a short race, but they say it’s worth it.

“If you want to race, Nashville’s the place,” says Corey Deuser, who lives in Georgetown, Indiana, just across the Kentucky state line near Louisville. “There are several tracks around here, but none that offer the kind of competition that Nashville does. It’s worth the drive.”

Deuser is joined by fellow Hoosier hotfeet Brett Robinson of New Albany, Cole Willliams of Boren and Conner Poppenwell of Jeffersonville. All four communities are in the Louisville vicinity, about a three-hour trek to Music City…
