Pensacola Represented as America’s Mayors March for Democracy in Historic Philadelphia

As America prepares to celebrate its 250th birthday this Independence Day, hundreds of mayors from communities (US Conference of Mayors) across the nation gathered Thursday, July 2, in the birthplace of our democracy for a powerful reminder that the American story continues to be written, not only in Washington, but in cities and towns like Pensacola.

Pensacola Mayor D.C. Reeves joined fellow leaders from across the country in the historic March of America’s Mayors, walking from Independence Mall to the Museum of the American Revolution as part of the United States Conference of Mayors Annual Meeting.

The bipartisan event celebrated the enduring principles of freedom, self-government, and the essential role local leaders play in strengthening democracy every day.
