Video shows Castle Hills officers arrest man after he flees traffic stop

The Castle Hills Police Department arrested a man wanted on a warrant out of Iowa, but only after the man tried to run and officers chased him down.

Richard Daniel Rodriguez was wanted on a probation violation warrant, police officials said. The warrant indicated Rodriguez had a history of violent behavior and that he was considered armed and dangerous, according to police officials.

Officers stopped Rodriguez at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of Honeysuckle Lane. The department on Thursday released officer body camera footage of the arrest.
