STOREY COUNTY, Nev. — A wildland fire in the Gold Hill area prompted emergency crews to respond and led to a road closure Friday afternoon. Gold Hill residents were asked to evacuate, but orders have now been lifted and the fire is 100% contained.
Both Storey County Fire and the Bureau of Land Management responded to the area. They say that the fire burned about four acres.
Now that the fire is contained, State Route 342 is expected to be re-opened around 6 p.m.
Authorities say the cause of the fire is unfounded. No buildings were damaged or lost, and there are no reported injuries…
