SOUTHPORT, N.C. (WECT) – Forty-seven people from countries around the world became U.S. citizens Friday at a naturalization ceremony on Fort Johnston Garrison Lawn in Southport, held as part of the North Carolina Fourth of July Festival.
Among them was Joby John, who came to the United States from India nine years ago for work. Her company relocated her to Raleigh, North Carolina.
