57th annual Lumbee Homecoming, June 26 to July 4; As one of the largest and most anticipated Native American cultural celebrations in the Southeast, this week-long event is rooted in tradition, fellowship and cultural pride. Community members and visitors will experience a week filled with cultural events, a parade, pageantry, family activities, food, crafts, music and opportunities to celebrate the rich history and vibrant future of the Lumbee Tribe. The Kick-Off Celebration & Fireworks Show, a new event on Friday, June 26, commemorates the first Lumbee Homecoming since the tribe received Federal recognition. 575 Recognition Art Exhibition Reception, through July 8: Red Springs Artspace is hosting an opening reception for “575 Recognition”, a juried art exhibition. The exhibition is celebrating the Lumbee Tribe’s full Federal recognition. The exhibition will be on display at Red Springs Artspace from July 24 through July 8. An opening reception will be held June 24 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The regular open hours Red Springs Artspace is: Sundays 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and on Wednesdays from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m…
