ROCK COUNTY, Wis. — A mechanical failure at the Beloit Dam on the Rock River caused the dam gates to open Saturday, according to the Rock County Sheriff’s Office.
Water levels on the river between the Centerway Dam in Janesville and the Beloit Dam are now considered low.
