ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Community members gathered at Beattie Park Saturday morning for a Patriotic Prayer Breakfast as part of Rockford’s Fourth of July celebration.
Several prayers focused on different parts of the community, including youth, families, people experiencing homelessness, service members, first responders and government leaders.
Jodi Beach, a member of the Fourth of July committee and organizer of the Patriotic Prayer Breakfast says the event has deep roots in Rockford.
