U.S veterans in our area tell us that, for 250 years, the flag has stood for one thing: freedom.
Now, as the country celebrates its 250th birthday, one veteran says it’s up to every U.S citizen to learn what sacrifices it took to get that freedom.
“We are the land of the free. We are the home of the brave, the brave, and it takes a person that has that level of commitment, that’s willing to do that,” said former naval captain Mickey McCamish.
For a combined total of nearly 50 years, Mickey McCamish and Todd Richardson say they’ve proudly served their county.
