Fire near Keystone, California avenues nearly knocked down

A vegetation fire near Keystone and California avenues in downtown Reno on July 4 produced heavy smoke but was nearly knocked down by midafternoon.

The fire was reported shortly after 2 p.m. Saturday, just hours after the downtown Reno Fourth of July parade, according to Watch Duty, a nonprofit that tracks wildfires.
