Reno Public Market has changed hands, selling for $19.3 million as part of a multistate portfolio acquisition by AmCap of Stamford, Conn.
The 140,223-square-foot public food hall and retail center came online in January 2023 after several years of heavy construction that transformed the former Shoppers Square mall into a modern retail hub anchored by Sprouts Farmers Market, CVS, Junkee Clothing Exchange, and a public food hall. Reno Public Market and retail properties across California, Arizona, Oregon, Colorado, Kansas and Iowa were part of the AmCap acquisition.
The grocery-anchored properties in the acquisition boast names such as WinCo, Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods and Natural Grocers total more than 770,000 square feet.
