Time’s up for fireworks in Michigan — violations now carry a $1,000 fine

LANSING, Mich. (News 10) – Moores Park was left covered in fireworks debris Sunday morning following the Fourth of July holiday weekend, including burnt paper, cardboard tubes and some fireworks that had not been set off.

Lansing Parks and Recreation Director Brett Kaschinske said crews are being sent out to clean up the parks.

“Not only taking down from Adado Riverfront Park, but also going around to our neighborhood parks and making sure they’re clean and ready for the week ahead,” Kaschinske said.
