Power outage leaves thousands in the dark
Power can disappear in an instant, turning an ordinary day into a scramble for answers. That is exactly what happened across parts of San Francisco when thousands of homes and businesses suddenly lost electricity for the second day in a row.
Residents found themselves checking outage maps, charging phones, and hoping service would return quickly. The repeated outages affected neighborhoods across the city and raised fresh questions about power reliability.
While crews worked to restore electricity, many people adjusted their daily routines and looked for updates from Pacific Gas and Electric Co., better known as PG&E.
