San Antonio Man Sentenced to 10 Years for Fatal Hit-and-Run That Killed Pedestrian

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — A San Antonio man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian on the city’s west side.

On July 1, Judge Jennifer Peña of the 290th District Court sentenced 41-year-old Jonathan Acosta for leaving the scene of a collision that resulted in the death of 55-year-old Raul Peña Jr.

According to prosecutors, the crash occurred on the evening of June 3, 2024, as Peña and his son were crossing the access road of Loop 1604 on San Antonio’s west side…
