Starved, dying dog faces long road of recovery with Lexington animal shelter

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Animal rescue groups are sounding the alarm after the number of animal abuse cases rose in the last six months.

Noah is a 2-year-old dog and the latest case for Paws 4 the Cause. Noah was found outside in a pen in the heat, starved and dying. A larger dog shared his pen and ate all the food.

“I didn’t even know how he was standing up,” Vice President and General Manager of Paws 4 the Cause Anita Spreitzer said.
