EDINBURG — Fifteen year old Lia Amos is proving the age is no barrier to making a difference.
The soon-to-be sophomore at Edinburg High School recently donated Dixie, a 9 week old golden retriever, to Got Your Six Support Dogs, a nonprofit organization based in Maryville, Illinois. Dixie will now begin training to become a service or support dog for a veteran.
Lia started breeding and selling golden retriever puppies two years ago with two goals in mind: earning money for her first vehicle and one day donating a puppy to be trained as a service or support dog. With Dixie’s donation, that goal as become reality…
