WESLEY CHAPEL, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Several Union County crews worked to extinguish a massive house fire Saturday night.
Just before 11 p.m. on July 4, the Wesley Chapel Fire Department was called to a reported residential fire on Mourning Dove Drive. Waxhaw, Stallings, Indian Land and Bakers Fire Departments also responded.
When crews arrived, they were met with large flames erupting through the roof of the home and heavy smoke.
Crews initiated a coordinated fire attack and ventilation operation to improve conditions on the inside of the structure. Firefighters were about to bring the fire under control a short time later…
