Gas Prices Dip, Local Prices Among Georgia’s Best

Motorists in Dade, Walker and Catoosa counties continue to enjoy some of the lowest gas prices in Georgia as fuel costs decline following the Independence Day holiday.

According to AAA, the Catoosa-Dade-Walker metro area has the state’s second-lowest average price for regular gasoline at $3.37 per gallon, trailing only Albany at $3.36. By comparison, the Atlanta metro average is $3.52, while Savannah has the state’s highest average at $3.71.

Statewide, Georgia’s average price for regular gasoline has dropped 5 cents over the past week and is now 34 cents lower than a month ago, although prices remain 62 cents higher than this time last year…
