After News 5 investigation, Cuyahoga judge allows innocence claimant to seek new trial

CLEVELAND — After a News 5 investigation, a Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas judge has given Roberto Wynn the opportunity to seek a new trial in an effort to overturn his murder conviction.

Judge Jeffrey Saffold set a July 13 deadline for Wynn to file a motion for a new trial in his murder case after an attorney conference last Thursday, the same day a News 5 investigation on Wynn’s case aired.
