A single-vehicle crash in Tuscaloosa County Saturday afternoon has claimed the life of a man from Jacksonville.
The crash happened around 1:30 p.m. July 4 on Alabama Highway 216 near the 20-mile marker, about 5 miles west of Brookwood.
Jonathan D. Goodner, 47, was fatally injured when the SUV he was driving ran off the road before hitting a sign and running into a ditch before hitting a tree. Goodner, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene…
