Robesonia officials release railroad safety tips ahead of Big Boy arrival

ROBESONIA, Pa. – Robesonia Fire Department is reminding the Borough of the safety guidelines put in place in preparation for the arrival of Big Boy 4014.

According to a Facebook post from the department, Big Boy is expected to roll through the area Tuesday morning. Officials say there is a 25ft buffer in place to keep people from getting injured on the tracks as the train passes by. Common viewing areas will be the Freeman Street crossing, the Conrad Weiser Community Pool for its members, and the town park.

The fire department says people parking along the route in different areas are asked to not block active roadways and to be considerate in not blocking or parking on other people’s property unless given permission ahead of time…
