Rock County residents may apply for FEMA assistance after April storm

JANESVILLE — FEMA announced Monday that homeowners and renters with uninsured damage to their primary home, personal property loss or disaster-related emergency needs from the April 17 storm may start applying for FEMA assistance.

The announcement outpaces FEMA’s work setting up a disaster assistance service center in Rock County — although local officials think that within a few days, FEMA could finalize details and establish a brick-and-mortar site where people can seek assistance.
