ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The City of Albuquerque is helping dozens of businesses along the Central corridor fund everything from simple paint jobs to large-scale murals through the fresh coat grant and it’s just in time for a major milestone.
In honor of the Route 66 Centennial, city leaders want to make sure Albuquerque is putting it’s best foot forward. “We wanted to create a program that would give business owners the opportunity to give a fresh look to their storefront,” said Metropolitan Redevelopment Agency Director Terry Brunner.
