Construction to bring new life to “The Avenue” is taking shape, and on schedule.
“We’ve been working really hard on one side of the road to run brand new water line all the way from Three Mile Creek to Broad Street,” says Jennifer Greene, Director of Programs and Project Manager with the city of Mobile. “We only have a few more blocks of that so we’re anticipating that to be complete by the end of the summer. We’re working on concrete, we’re working on our curbs and new sidewalks.”
Greene says this is an $11 million investment aiming to enhance safety, create pedestrian friendly avenues, as well as nice curb appeal that needed to happen…
