Mosquito sample in Yolo County tests positive for West Nile virus

(FOX40.COM) — A mosquito sample in Yolo County has tested positive for the West Nile virus, the Sacramento-Yolo Mosquito and Vector Control District announced in a news release on Monday.

The district collected the positive sample in Madison, marking this Yolo County’s first positive case in 2026. Sacramento County has already tested 24 positive samples.
