Megyn Kelly Slams Taylor Swifts Star-Studded Wedding as Empty Inside

Megyn Kelly has openly expressed her disapproval of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s lavish wedding festivities held at Madison Square Garden last week.

During an appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored Monday, the Sirius XM host did not hold back in her critique of the star-studded ceremony uniting the 14-time Grammy winner and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.

The high-profile event took place at New York City’s iconic MSG on July 3, drawing roughly 1,000 guests, including a host of A-list celebrities. While Swift’s fans celebrated the nuptials enthusiastically, Kelly offered a starkly different take, telling Morgan that she believes Swift is “empty inside.”

When asked whether the wedding was “a bit OTT (over the top),” Kelly responded candidly: “I may shock you, but I feel sorry for Taylor Swift. I really think she’s empty inside.”

She elaborated, suggesting that many who achieve fame at a young age are searching for a sense of completeness that their early family life didn’t provide, a void that fame and fortune cannot fill. “Only you, God, and your immediate loved ones can,” she added.

Kelly also questioned the scale of the celebration. “Who has a thousand-person wedding?”

she asked, speculating that while some cultures might justify such numbers, it didn’t seem to fit Swift’s background. She further expressed skepticism about the guest list, which reportedly included Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, Bradley Cooper, and Adam Sandler.

“Oprah, really? Steven Spielberg… those two are super close to Steven Spielberg?

Bulls–t. I don’t believe that for one second,” Kelly remarked.

She found some names plausible, such as music stars from the country genre, but was puzzled by claims that Adam Sandler officiated, joking about a supposed connection via an unrealized “Happy Gilmore 2.”

Piers Morgan chimed in, describing celebrity-packed weddings as “a bit weird,” noting the oddity of so many famous faces attending such private moments. Kelly agreed, calling the scene “so awkward” and admitting it made her uncomfortable.

According to reports, the guest list included actors like Brad Pitt, Emma Stone, Mariska Hargitay, and Tom Hanks; NFL legends including Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, and Patrick Mahomes; and musicians such as Sabrina Carpenter and Miranda Lambert. The night before, Swift and Kelce held a more intimate rehearsal dinner with around 100 guests, including Selena Gomez, Lena Dunham, and Jack Antonoff.

This isn’t Kelly’s first commentary on the wedding. Just days prior, she discussed the event with Daily Mail columnist Maureen Callahan, who dubbed it “Taylor’s big fat Disney wedding.” Kelly described the choice of Madison Square Garden as “so on the nose in terms of attention-getting, and just so gauche.”

Kelly’s remarks underline a sharp contrast to the overwhelming fan adoration the couple has received, highlighting the polarizing nature of celebrity weddings on such a grand scale.
