New business brings Filipino food, culture to Mebane

If you have a craving for Filipino cuisine, Mebane isn’t likely the first place you would consider for sating that need. But thanks to one of the newest small businesses in the city’s downtown, folks from all around Alamance and Orange counties can fill up on the food culture of the Philippines.

Taste of Filipino, which recently opened its doors at 110 N. Fourth St., offers a wide variety of international products including food, snacks, beverages, frozen products, condiments, noodles, and household essentials. The shop proudly serves the community, whether they are Filipino or not, and its owners welcome anyone who wants to experience the flavors offered, and to better understand the culture of the Philippines. Taste of Filipino aims to provide quality products and friendly customer service that it hopes will keep customers coming to the mini-market.
