POTTER COUNTY, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Two males have died in the Clements Unit under suspected natural causes or illness in July.
According to the custodial death reports, 60-year-old Augustin Cantu III, who was booked in the Clements Unit in 2013, was found unresponsive on July 3 in the unit infirmary for continuous care. Officials noted that life-saving measures were started and were maintained enroute to the hospital were Cantu was pronounced deceased.
Cantu was arrested and booked in the Clements Unit on the charge of “Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Sword.”
