HOUSTON (CW39) — A Houston police officer shot a suspect for a car robbery in Highland Village on Monday night, police said.
Around 7:20 p.m. Monday, an officer was on Westheimer Road between Kettering Drive and Suffolk Drive when he received calls about a suspicious vehicle with a person inside. Officers ran the license plate and discovered that the vehicle was reported stolen from Fort Bend County.
The officer demanded that the person get out of the vehicle, but after 25 minutes, he did not get out. As officers moved to remove the person from the vehicle, the person made a move like he had a potential weapon, leading to shots being fired by officers, police said…
