Construction on Pyramid Way in Sparks will bring two full weekend closures of southbound traffic this month as a major road improvement project continues.
The Nevada Department of Transportation said sections of southbound Pyramid Way will close while crews excavate the roadway and begin initial repaving work as part of the ongoing project to resurface the road and improve sidewalks and pedestrian crossings between Victorian Avenue and York Way. Construction began in February.
The first closure is scheduled from 10 a.m. Friday, July 10, through 6 a.m. Monday, July 13, with southbound Pyramid Way closed between McCarran Boulevard and Oddie Boulevard…
