6,000-seat amphitheater added to Grand Experience development agreement

The West Des Moines City Council will consider an updated agreement with the developer behind the proposed Grand Experience, a mixed-use development along Grand Avenue that will feature a hotel and conference center, an indoor waterpark, workforce housing, retail and a 6,000-seat amphitheater.

The amphitheater is a new component of the more than $400 million development, which has been in the works for several years and undergone multiple changes since it was first proposed.
