A Mechanicsburg woman has been charged with involuntary manslaughter following the death of her 2-month-old baby.
According to an affidavit, Katherine Tibbens fed the infant a bottle around 6 a.m. on Sept. 13, 2025, and placed the baby on a nesting pillow positioned partly on the armrest of a recliner and partly on a mattress.
Tibbens reportedly told police she intended to return the baby to a bassinet but fell asleep. She woke around 9 a.m. and found the infant missing from the pillow…
