Escambia County, Florida apartment fire contained

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — Escambia County Fire Rescue crews responded to an apartment fire early Monday at a local apartment complex.

Crews responded around 4:16 a.m. to the 500 block of North Crow Road, according to an ECFR Facebook post. The first unit arrived to find light smoke coming from the building and a person attempting to extinguish the fire with a fire extinguisher.

Officials said crews brought the fire under control by 4:27 a.m. Crews then ventilated the building, which received some damage.

Firefighters prevented the building from being destroyed, according to the post. Residents will be able to reoccupy the apartments…
