Motor Vehicle Stop Leads to Seizure of Firearms & Drugs

On 06/23/26, a Trooper from the Community Action Team (CAT) stopped a vehicle along Interstate-91 in Deerfield for a defective fog light and excessively dark window tint. The stop led to two arrests and the seizure of three illegally possessed handguns and ammunition, over 250 grams of suspected cocaine, over 20 grams of suspected fentanyl, and a variety of other illegally possessed narcotics. A male and female were taken into custody for multiple felony charges including; Trafficking Cocaine 200 Grams or More, Trafficking Fentanyl 10 Grams or More, Trafficking Firearms, Conspiracy to Violate Drug Law and Possession of firearm in Commission of felony.
