NAMPA, Idaho — The City of Nampa received its largest transportation grant in the city’s history on July 8, officials announced.
The $23 million grant comes from the U.S. Department of Transportation, as part of the “Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development (BUILD) Grant Program.” It requires no matching funds from the city, according to a news release from city officials.
The grant is set to fund improvements along the Northside Corridor from Northside Boulevard and 4th Street North. Included in these improvements is new pavement, sidewalks and curb ramps along most of the corridor, as well as the widening of the bridge over Indian Creek at North Broadmore Way.
