The City Council approved two appointees on June 30 to lead the bureaus of Engineering and Sanitation – Crystal Lee and Joone Kim-Lopez, respectively – to bolster and improve city infrastructure and municipal services, enhance street cleaning and help meet ambitious climate goals.
“Since I took office, I’ve been challenging decades-old systems at City Hall to better deliver core services for Angelenos, and I know that Crystal Lee and Joone Kim-Lopez will be powerful allies in my fight for a city that’s cleaner and in better shape,” Bass said.
