GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) — When Kerri Matenaer and her husband decided to start their family, she knew the path may not be an easy one.

After months of trying to conceive and doing testing, she was referred to Aurora BayCare Medical Center’s fertility clinic.

“I was nervous and scared mostly, but just also excited because you finally feel like you have hope,” Matenaer said.

That hope turned into in vitro fertilization, a process in which doctors retrieve eggs, fertilize them in a lab, and then transfer an embryo into the uterus…
