The Broussard Police Department has been awarded grant funding through the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission to conduct High Visibility Enforcement efforts focused on operating while intoxicated (OWI), occupant protection, railway safety and distracted driving.
Throughout the month of July, officers will increase their presence on roadways throughout the City of Broussard to promote safe driving practices and help ensure the safety of all motorists. These enforcement efforts are designed to reduce traffic crashes, encourage compliance with traffic laws and educate the community on the importance of making responsible decisions behind the wheel.
