Costco is an obvious choice for shoppers who prefer to buy in bulk, but the superstore’s food court is also a major draw for its affordable prices and iconic bites, such as the $1.50 Kirkland Signature hot dog and soda combo. A Costco location in San Antonio will soon roll out an expensive refresh to its food court, completely revamping its food service area.
The San Antonio Costco on UTSA Boulevard is expected to undergo a renovation with a $750,000 price tag, according to a new construction filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR). The project will involve a complete demolition of the current food service area to install a new one, complete with a new cooler, fixtures and finishes.
The food court upgrades are expected to begin on October 6, 2026, and run through July 6, 2027, according to the TDLR filing. The food service area is listed at 1,463 square feet. MySA sent a media request to Costco asking about the exact changes coming to the UTSA Boulevard location and whether the renovations will limit customer access.
