WASHINGTON, DC — A D.C. woman who fled a traffic stop on Rock Creek Parkway and slammed into a Lyft vehicle in 2023 has been sentenced to 29 years in prison for killing the three men inside.
Nakita Walker was convicted in April of three counts of involuntary manslaughter, fleeing a law enforcement officer and assault with a dangerous weapon.

Walker was sentenced Thursday after jurors found her guilty in the case tied to the March 15, 2023 collision. An expert witness testified that she was traveling 100 mph at about 1:30 a.m. when she crashed into a Honda carrying the victims.
The men killed were Mohamed Kamara, 42, Olvin Torres Velasquez, 22, and Jonathan Cabrera Mendez, 23.
Victims were headed home after a night in D.C.
