CALDWELL, Idaho (CBS2) — Drivers who use State Highway 55 in Canyon County will need to plan for a weekend closure at a major intersection as crews work to install a water line beneath the highway.
The Idaho Transportation Department will close the intersection of State Highway 55 and Montana Avenue from 10 p.m. Friday, July 10, to 5 a.m. Monday, July 13, for the work. Drivers are encouraged to use Interstate 84, State Highway 19 and U.S. Highway 95 as a detour.
The work is part of the larger SH-55, Farmway Road to Middleton Road project, which is aimed at improving safety and mobility along the SH-55 corridor in Canyon County.
