Route 33 construction brings lane restrictions, traffic changes in Northampton County

STOCKERTOWN BOROUGH, Pa. — Drivers who use Route 33 in Northampton County should prepare for upcoming lane restrictions, traffic crossovers, and ramp closures starting Friday.

As part of the ongoing Route 33 bridge replacement project over Bushkill Creek, PennDOT announced that traffic pattern changes will take effect beginning July 10 in Stockertown Borough and Palmer Township.

Route 33 North will be reduced to a single lane between Main Street (Tatamy exit) and Route 191, according to officials. Northbound traffic will then be switched over to the Route 33 South side via a median crossover…
