Hendersonville police charge two men with identity theft

Two California men were recently taken into custody by the Hendersonville Police Department after allegedly being linked to use of a stolen credit card.

According to court records, the victim notified police on July 1 of the fraudulent use of her credit card at the Hendersonville Lowe’s store. The victim reportedly told police she was in Johnson City at the time and had been notified by her bank of a suspicious transaction.

Police spoke with Loss Prevention staff at Lowe’s, who allegedly stated that two Asian men had entered the store at around 1 p.m. Both men allegedly used a “tap to pay” method to purchase drinks and reloadable gift cards, totaling around $660…
