Patient accuses Stanford Health of botching spinal injection

(KRON) — A woman who went to a Stanford Hospital in San Mateo was left unable to walk after her medical team botched a spinal injection, according to a new lawsuit.

The suit, filed July 6 against Stanford Health Care, states that Alice Brock went to the hospital on July 14, 2025 for a myelogram procedure and routine scan of her spinal baclofen pump.

“A myelogram is a diagnostic imaging test in which a contrast dye is injected intothe intrathecal space and which allows health care providers to assess whether a baclofen pumpsystem is functioning properly,” according to the lawsuit filed by Rouda, Feder, Tietjen & McGuinn law firm in San Mateo County Superior Court…
