BRYANT, Ark. – Authorities have released a 911 call detailing the harrowing search for a 9-year-old girl swept into a storm drain by floodwaters during heavy rain in Bryant on Wednesday.
According to Bryant police, the child was caught in stormwater near Center and Laverne streets after heavy rain moved through the area shortly before 7 p.m., causing flash flooding along several streets.

Police say the girl was carried several blocks by the rushing water through a flooded stream before ending up near a creek at Neal Cove.
Family members later found the child safe, and officers confirmed she was not injured…
