JANESVILLE — The Party for Socialism & Liberation has announced it will be holding a protest Friday at 6 p.m. at the grass field across from the Dawson Softball Complex. The event comes after recent incidents in Beloit and Janesville involving ICE agents, including an apparent vehicle crash that came during an ICE investigation.
Sam Nemetz, an organizer with Madison PSL who lives in Janesville, said he decided to plan the protest. Nemetz cited an uptick in arrest of immigrants across the country as his incentive for the demonstration.
He said residents in Beloit and Janesville are being “targeted.” His group circulated a press release that indicates the ICE incident that caused a crash Wednesday in Janesville came as agents stalked and attacked a father who was on his way to work…
