Ty Carter and Lane Carter, brothers who played for La Vernia’s football program in 2025, are ineligible to play varsity athletics for Alamo Heights for the 2026-27 school year, the UIL state executive committee ruled Thursday.
The committee determined they transferred to Alamo Heights for athletic purposes, a UIL violation. Ty, who will be a senior this fall, rushed for nearly 2,000 yards during La Vernia’s state semifinal run in 2025. Lane is a sophomore who played sub-varsity football last season.
