Bexar County is tied for the highest number of laboratory-confirmed rabies cases in Texas this year, according to updated maps released by the Texas Department of State Health Services.
The maps, updated July 6, place Bexar County in the highest case category, with 17 to 33 confirmed rabies cases in 2026. Only one other Texas county falls into the same category.
