Hot weather and storms hit New Mexico, with flash flooding possible

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – A few afternoon showers and storms will develop in parts of New Mexico, while Albuquerque heads for highs near 100 and heat builds across the state.

The best storm chances Thursday afternoon are in northeast and southwest New Mexico. The rest of the state will stay hot, with Albuquerque expected to reach near 100.
